Assistant Accountant - Full Time

AG Security Group is South Australia’s largest privately owned security organisation, protecting Australians for over 34 years. Due to continued growth and newly secured long-term contracts, we’re seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Adelaide-based team.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the finance function across multiple entities.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Month-end processing, journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and fixed assets
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • End-to-end payroll processing and payroll compliance
  • Payroll tax, child support and RTWSA
  • Assist with BAS preparation
  • Accounts receivable invoicing and debt collection
  • Managing customer queries
  • Weekly reception lunch cover and phone answering


About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
  • Strong payroll and accounting knowledge
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Confident communication and professional phone manner
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
