Finance Assistant - Temporary 12 Month Position

About The Role
With our Finance Assistant going on parental leave, we are looking to fill a full-time position to support our Finance team with bookkeeping activities and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our day-to-day business.

In this role, you will support in several key functions including, but not limited to:

  • Processing of supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Regular maintenance of recurring weekly and monthly payments
  • Processing invoices for payment via EFT/internet banking, cheque, and credit card
  • Reconciliation of corporate credit cards
  • Assist the Financial Accountant with cash flow forecasting as required
  • Setting up new suppliers in the system whilst maintaining existing ones
  • Completion of supplier credit applications
  • Monitoring and controlling corporate credit card expenditure.
  • Reconciling supplier statements at the end of each month
  • Respond to suppliers’ queries in a timely manner
  • Maintenance of filing records for suppliers
  • Assist with payroll
  • Assist in accounts receivable
  • Debt collection
  • Setting up direct debits for customers and collection
  • Customers queries and payment processing
  • Releasing repeating AR invoices
  • Undertake general administrative tasks as required


About You

  • 'Can do' and motivated attitude
  • Ability to focus on individual tasks as well as work within a team
  • Experience (minimum two (2) years in alike role)
  • Experience working within Xero (preferred)
